After the great success of 1st Dubai Parachuting Championship and Gulf Cup in January 2010, the run for the 2nd Competition, which will be conducted from 7th to 16th January 2011, was immense within the world wide Parachuting scene. 500 world-class athletes and teams (which is 100 competitors over the average of world championships) are travelling to U.A.E. from 35 different nations over 5 continents. They will compete for a total prize money of 320,000.- USD next to and over the Palm Jumeirah (at Skydive Dubai http://www.skydivedubai.ae) in the disciplines Formation Skydiving (in freefall from 10.000 feet above ground); Accuracy Landing (landing under Parachute on a target of only a few centimeters) and Canopy Piloting (the latest and most extreme invention in sport Parachuting, where the skilled athletes land their high performance Parachutes, regularly exceeding speeds of 120 km/h within a pre-defined parcours)!
