One of the reasons I headed down to Amsterdam this time was to see the WPP exhibition. A photograph friend of mine living in Amsterdam gave me a advance shout as well as arranged my accommodation. So it all worked fine. The above are some of the faces I encountered when I was there.

All I can say is, wish I had more time .. more time to spend there ..

Amsterdam Graffiti

These art forms on the wall on a city tell a lot about the art scene there. I never hesitate to raise my camera to record them whenever I see them. I am not copying someone else’s art form, but just documenting it. My time in Amsterdam was limited and was upset by the constant rain. Well, did managed see few good graffiti on few places. Here they are..

I am not big fan of post processing to change the image. I aspire to produce wow images straight out of the camera.

The images above are different form my usual style, here my subjects are some of the street faces I came across on my recent trip to Amsterdam.

Here the attempt is an experiment where in I am trying to bring all attention of the viewer to the subject, without any distraction.

Here I present, you interpret J

The reflections of Amsterdam

The fascination towards history, museum and architecture bought me to Amsterdam this time. Few days of work related stay in Frankfurt I boarded the flight to Schiphol (AMS). First of all I had missed my flight from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. Thanks to the friendly German who advised me to take the wrong train to the Frankfurt airport. Any way, when I arrived Amsterdam eventually I was very tired and the friend who was waiting in the train station had to leave for another appointment leaving the apartment keys with luggage keeper in the station.

For some reason the city was not at all lucky to me this time. It was raining most of the time and the crucial sunlight was missing for me go out and shoot. I also had cancelled my trip to the village I was planning to make because of the weather.

Any way, I managed few shots with half heart and here is the first series of them. I found the canals more beautiful in Amsterdam than in Venice. It is just me. Of course the architecture of Amsterdam always fascinated me. I even bought few miniatures from the local crafts man. They were complaining about the influx of Chinese cheep replicas spoiling their business.

The first series of my album is all about the canals and buildings surrounding it. I shall present the modern Amsterdam, faces I encountered there and the night pictures on the forthcoming series.

Monsoon in Kerala is a spectacular seen to be seen. Photographers from all across to the world come to photograph it. There are some spectacular shots by Steve McCurry and other legendary photographers. Above are the shots when i was in Kerala for few days. It is difficult to spend time on shooting when I go to Kerala as I have to spend time with mom and dad whom I don’t get time to spend as much as I want. These are taken one morning when I got few hours free.
